In order to develop procurement activities, it is necessary to accelerate the adoption of the draft law "On Amendments to the Forest Code of the Russian Federation and the Law of the Russian Federation" On Consumer Cooperatives (Consumer Societies, Their Unions) in the Russian Federation ", taking into account the amendments introduced by the senators of the Russian Federation. This was stated by Sergei Mitin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management.
For an imported product to be sold as organic, it must conform to equivalent standards as EU produced goods. To ensure this, there are procedures that all importers have to follow when they wish to market a product as organic. These procedures depend on where the goods have originated.
The agreement defines the principles of interaction between the parties to create and develop a sustainable market for the collection, procurement and processing of products from wild plants (mushrooms, berries, nuts, other wild plants), as well as organic products from wild plants in the Novosibirsk region. As part of the negotiations, a work plan was determined to create a geoinformation system for accounting for the raw material database of the Novosibirsk region, taking into account the areas of growth of wild plants in the regions of the region.
